What have our Year 1s been up to?

Year 1 have been very busy this term across all subjects. In RE they have been finding out about special places and celebrations. In our most recent topic, Year 1 have been learning about key aspects of the Jewish faith. They have shared ideas and worked creatively to enhance their learning experience. So far this term they have found out where Judaism originated, about special places linked to Judaism and about key festivals in Jewish life. The boys enjoyed learning a Jewish game played by children called ‘Dreidel’. They played co-operatively, taking turns with others and managed emotions of excitement and disappointment during the game.
