This week has been a very exciting week in Pre School as they have been learning about the story “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson.
In Literacy the children have been developing their story telling skills by re-enacting the story using expression in their voices by taking on the role of the different characters. They also developed their writing and drawing skills by creating a map to help the mouse find his way through the wood. They have also written a list of ingredients needed to make Gruffalo Crumble
In maths the children have been matching numeral to quantity by adding purple prickles to the Gruffalo’s back using paint.
In other areas of their learning the children have been making and, of course eating Gruffalo Crumble and thinking of different things the Gruffalo might like to eat.
A fun and full filled week of learning in Pre-School
