This week in Pre-School the children have been learning about wild animals. They shared their favourite animal with their peers during a carpet time discussion and wrote sentences and drew pictures about them in Literacy. In Mathematics the children explored and gained an understanding of weight by using weighing scales to weight different animals and discover if they are heavy or light. The children have also been busy going on a jungle safari, listening to clues describing different animals and using the binoculars they made to hunt for the animals hiding in the jungle role play corner. They have been looking at globes and atlases to find out where different animals live in the world.
