The Wonders Of A Farm At Spring Time

Posted: 28th March 2022

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 visited Odds Farm for the day where they ventured round the farm in the sunshine. All the boys helped the farmers feed the adorable furry friends during the goat show. The kid goats were very greedy and the boys had to make sure they held the bottle tight! The boys especially loved learning how to milk a cow and had the opportunity to ask questions about the milking process.

The sun was out so the boys took in the sights and sounds of the farm on a tractor & trailer ride. Spring had certainly come to life at the farm. Lambs that were less than one day old could be seen taking their first steps with the close watch of their mother.  A thrilling hands-on experience involved each boy feeding the goats and sheep. It was fantastic to see each boy grow in confidence when feeding and petting the animals. As expected, the boys’ behaviour was exemplary and they all showed respect, resilience and curiosity throughout the day.
