Tudor Museum

Posted: 29th September 2023

Have you ever wondered what ingredients were in a Tudor pear pie…or what the most common vegetable in Tudor times was. Perhaps you you’ve always wanted also to discover what wealthy Tudor women wore…or which was the only Tudor allowed to wear purple?

To help people find answers to these questions, Year 5 opened their own Tudor Food and Clothes Museum in the school hall this week. They exhibited posters they had made for homework showing what they found out about these aspects of Tudor life. They invited Years 3 and 4 to explore the exhibition and complete a Tudor quiz in their house groups. Our budding Year 3 and Year 4 historians showed enthusiasm and focus to engage with all the displays. Bravo boys , you’re museum stars!
