Ahoy! It’s time to share the exciting tale of our Pre-School class as they embarked on a journey to learn all about the ocean, it’s creatures and the world of pirates last week. For literacy we went on a ‘phonics treasure hunt’ adventure.
Armed with treasure maps our little explorers set off on their quest to uncover hidden treasures within our classroom. Each clue led them to discover items starting with specific sounds, encouraging them to listen closely and identify familiar phonemes. Following the map carefully, the boys were eventually lead to ‘X’ and discovered a stash of treasure for them all to share.
Through this immersive experience, our Pre-School class not only explored the world of the sea and pirates but also strengthened their phonics skills in a memorable and meaningful way.
