This term in Pre-School we are learning about traditional tales. This week our focus was ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We took part in a range of hands on activities related to the book. We looked all different types of root vegetables which grow under the ground. We each had a turn to hold the vegetables and described what we felt, smelt and could see. We got our hands messy with vegetable stamping. We created some amazing artwork and could see the patterns from the vegetables transfer to the paper! On Friday, we made soup using turnips and a range of other vegetables. The boys all participated in soup making by cutting some softened vegetables.
