On Wednesday 26th September, we celebrated European Day of Languages. Everyone came dressed in the colours of the flags of different European countries. Pre-school and Reception wore bleu, blance et rouge for France. Year 1 wore verde, bianco e rosso for Italy. Year 2 wore Schwarz, gelb und orange for Germany. Some boys were very inventive and came dressed as Greek and Roman soldiers and French men complete with moustaches. We even had a musketeer, a Swiss tennis player and Salvador Dali!
The day started with a French breakfast of hot chocolates and croissants. In assembly, we practised a little Finnish and we learned about how many different languages we speak in school. Years 5 & 6 completed a quiz based on Europe in class.
