International Women’s Day Celebrations, A Visit To Parliament & A Week To Celebrate All Round

Posted: 11th March 2022

This week, as ever has been jam packed with trips, clubs, matches and activities.

We have been reflecting on and celebrating aspects of International Women’s Day in our creative subjects, PSHE and assembly, where the students showed a coherent understanding towards the purpose of the week.

Aside from this well celebrated event, we had many other excitements on this week;

On Tuesday, Year 6 took a trip to London to visit the houses of Parliament where they gained an insight into life inside the house of commons and were even given the chance to propose their own new law; to which they chose to ban smoking! The boys asked challenging questions and were fully invested in every aspect of the trip.

Year 2 showed off their impressive culinary skills during a food photography challenge where they realised the importance of colour, layout, taste and texture on a plate.

Many of our students across the school this week proudly presented their certificates from the Watford Festival of Speech & Drama, with a number of students even gaining 3rd place awards!

Our Year 5 & 6 students had a very successful week in their sports fixtures with both the A & B Rugby teams beating their components; Quainton Hall.

A big well done to all of our boys for such a range of achievements this week!
