Pre-School have had a very exciting week learning all about how and why Diwali is celebrated. They had the opportunity to explore different objects like Diva lights, bangles, Indian food and special outfits. The children shared their own experiences of Diwali and fireworks and created their own using splash art on the computer. They made edible sparklers and took part in firework ribbon dancing. In Literacy they learned about the story of Rama and Sita and drew pictures of the story. In Maths they created beautiful Rangoli patterns using 2d wooden shapes. A fully immersive week learning all about Diwali, bringing their experiences to life and celebrating together as a class. Lots of fun and learning had by all!
