Celebrating Progress, Growth and Achievement

Posted: 1st August 2025

Buckingham Preparatory School came together in joyful celebration for Speech Day 2025 — a much-anticipated event that marks the culmination of the academic year and recognises the progress, achievements and character of every boy in the school.

Held in the final week of term, Speech Day brought together pupils, staff, and families to reflect on all that the boys have accomplished throughout the year — in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage, and beyond. It was a time to pause, acknowledge individual and collective successes, and celebrate the personal growth of every pupil.

Awards were presented to recognise academic excellence, outstanding effort, exemplary conduct and contributions to school life. There were moments of great pride and heartfelt applause, as boys from across the school received well-deserved recognition in front of their peers and families.

Mr Doyle reflected on the journey the boys have taken this year — not only in terms of attainment, but also in resilience, confidence and kindness. It was particularly moving to see our Year 6 leavers take the stage one final time, ready to move on to their next schools with pride and excitement for what lies ahead.

Speech Day is a reminder of what makes Buckingham Prep so special: a strong sense of community, high aspirations, and a shared commitment to helping every boy reach his full potential.
