Pupils at Buckingham Preparatory School have recently achieved outstanding results in their LAMDA examinations, demonstrating confidence, creativity and excellent communication skills across a wide range of performance disciplines.
In January, pupils completed examinations in Speaking in Public, Acting, Shakespeare for Performance, Reading for Performance, and Speaking Verse and Prose, reflecting the breadth of drama training offered within the programme.
Across the cohort, pupils successfully demonstrated the key performance criteria assessed by LAMDA, including clarity of diction, confident audibility, expressive body language, effective use of space and strong understanding of character and text. Communication exam pupils showed excellent research skills and the ability to engage thoughtfully in conversation topics, while acting and performance candidates performed memorised material with fluency, focus and expressive interpretation.
The examiner reports highlight the pupils’ ability to communicate meaning clearly, maintain focus in discussion, and perform with appropriate movement, facial expression and vocal variety, all of which are central to effective drama and public speaking performance.
LAMDA qualifications are widely recognised for developing confidence, creativity and communication skills that support pupils both academically and beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part, whose dedication and enthusiasm resulted in a strong set of performances across multiple examination levels.
Congratulations to everyone involved for representing RM Drama and Buckingham Preparatory School with such confidence and commitment.
